This site is dedicated to the PK Jimp; a small utility type vehicle built by PK Manufacturing Ltd of Sandbach, Cheshire in the early 1980's.
Although looking rather like a miniature Series Land Rover, Jimps are in fact based on a galvanised Reliant Kitten (or occassionally Reliant Fox) chassis, and use Reliant's 850cc petrol engine and running gear.
The Jimp was available ready-built by the factory, or as kit-cars for home building. Many Jimp variants were offered; open pick-up, pick-up with canvas tilt, hard-back van, & open top.
It is thought only 67 Jimps were ever made, so are a rare breed indeed. (I'm the proud owner of two, which may well be the world's largest collection!*)
The "PK" stands for Peter Kukla; he's the chap we have to thank for such an odd little car!
This site was lost to the internet for several years (after the demise of Geocities) but after tracking down the author I have re-hosted it, and am gradually trying to make it up to date again. Please bear with me, and if you have any "jimphormation" on anything to do with Jimps, past or present, then please do contact me.
Use the following links to Jimp around the site! (Yes, this is also the home of the awful pun!)
